Victoria BC Canada Visitor's Guide
The Dallas Road Waterfront runs along Juan de Fuca Strait at the southern tip of Vancouver Island.
From the pathway that meanders along the coast, visitors can enjoy spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains 50 km to the south in Washington State.
There are beautiful parks, beaches and hiking trails located between the seaside and Dallas Road.
Juan de Fuca Strait is the gateway to the Pacific Ocean for ships sailing from Vancouver BC and Seattle Washington.
Dallas Road Waterfront is located within walking distance of downtown Victoria.
From Beacon Hill Park, one can enjoy a stroll along the waterfront to the Victoria Cruise Ship Terminal.
From the cruise terminal, you can follow the David Foster Pathway to Fisherman's Wharf and then on to the Inner Harbor and downtown Victoria.
The waterfront is also fun to explore by car. Starting at Ogden Point (Cruise Ship Terminal), simply drive east along Dallas Road. When Dallas Road ends, continue along the coast and follow Beach Avenue.
This picturesque route along the waterfront is called Marine Scenic Drive. It ends at Cadboro Bay near the University of Victoria.
