Craigdarroch Castle is a Victorian-era mansion located in Victoria BC. It was built in the 1800s by Robert Dunsmuir, a wealthy coal baron at the time.
The castle has 39 rooms and over 25,000 square feet (2,300 square meters).
During its long history, the building served as a hospital, a college and music conservatory. Today, it attracts 150,000 visitors annually.
Tours of the castle are available three days per week. Visitors, however, you can visit the grounds at any time, free of charge.
