Hatley Castle is a 40-room Scottish baronial style mansion located on the outskirts of Victoria BC.
The castle was constructed in the early 1900s by James Dunsmuir, the the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia at the time.
The building has been used in many TV and film productions including Smallville, Poltergeist: The Legacy, The Changeling and Bones.
Hatley Castle is located in Hatley Park. The park is comprised of old growth forests, winding trails and formal gardens. There is also a bird sanctuary in a lagoon.
The formal gardens include Italian gardens, Japanese gardens and rose gardens
